Vacuum actuator

Helping a friend with his non-working 4X4. We have it down to the CAD Vacuum actuator, trouble is we can't get it out of the housing. We got the three snap rings out, what a P.I.T.A. but can't pull the actuator out. Are we doing this right? It should just pull out, right? I think we just burred the coller and hard to pull out.

Thanks
Floyd

CAD (Central Axle Disconnect) It's what locks the front end instead of manual hubs. You can buy a manual cable that replaces the vacuum crap.

Sorry, it is the vacuum actuator that moves the front axle in and out of four wheel drive, the vacuum is applied when you shift into four wheel and slides a coller to tie the two axel shafts together.

Yes, if you have the three snap rings out it should pull out. Was in mine way more often than I wanted to be, so that's why I went with the Posi-lok. Best money I've ever spent on the truck.
