Question unknown electrical stuff

could anyone tell me what the electrical device is forward of and underneath the passenger side battery tray?

i also just noticed a very small button under the dash between the brake and hood release levers. anyone know if this is stock or aftermkt? i think it may have to do with my alarm, but not sure.

thanks!

is it shaped like a triangle and very small, bolted to the inner fender flat on the bottom, if so it is one of your airbag deployment switchs. if not and it looks like a small brake booster with one electrical harness comming from it and two vacuum lines comming off it, it is your cruise control acuator.

that's what it is. i was curious cause battery acid has caused some corrosion around it. i have replaced the batteries and am working at cleaning out the rust and such. can i just unplug that thing and unbolt it or will my air bags deploy?

The item you are describing may be the battery heater.

The red button is an alarm deactivation button so if your key fob battery goes dead you can start the truck, I'm pretty sure. Its not factory.

This looks like an airbag sensor to me, you should be ok to unplug it , but don't smack it with a hammer

It is the air bag sensor. If you unplug it your airbag light will stay on all the time and your airbag won't work.
