Turbo
How do you know when you turbo is going out? When it does go out and you replace it what would you gain by have a twin turbo? Thankz guys

One way to tell if you have a turbo problem is to look for play in the shaft. take the intake hose off and try to move the shaft both side to side and in/out. You'll have a little bit of side to side but should have very little to no in/out movement. As for the twins, better read up on them - you need a lot more fuel than stock - and a strong tranny behind them...

basically if it has much in/out shaft play its not good, and will eat away at the compressor housing like mine did a while back. A little side to side movement is fine as long as its not rubbing the housings. Like he said for twins. Much $ has to be spent. Its about $3,000 for a kit and will be at least probably 1500 if you do all the fabricating for them yourself, and pick up the turbo's cheap. Then you need to stud and oring your head, and then you need a tranny to hold them($3,500+), then you need a LOT more fuel to spool them up.
