I know my fuel shut off solenoid has to be the problem but I don't know how to fix it . I can manually pull the rod on the bottom of the the solenoid but I need some help ??? Any suggestoins would be greatly appreciated!

 

try to trace the wires back to see if it is a fuse or pull off the electrical connector and with a test lamp or volt meter check to see if you have 12 volts (or the lamp lights up) on any of the three wires on the female side of the connector (from the truck end) but you must have the key in the run position. if you have no voltage check manual for fuse position and if you do have voltage maybe the solonoid is bad. Check this by using a multi meter with the ohms range and proceed to check between all three male terminals if you have an ohm reading in the tens of ohms not kilohms or megohms if you have megohms all around the solonoid is hooped. And when mine goes I'm putting in a choke cable.

 

Pull solenoid and I bet you will find the tip of plunger is eat right off. Replace in trouble fixed.
