The ole truck is going to the trans shop. It started slippin. Ive been readin some stuff about torque conver. and clutches. So is this something i should ask about getting replaced. I hate to ask the shop a bunch of questions. they will see me for the dumby i am and really stick it to me on the repair bill.

 

It would depend on whats found wrong with your tranny...if its bands or anything external...let them tell you<br><br>If its internal then you should tell the shop what you want as far as repairs...ie: torque converter you should not put a stock replacement back in get a upgraded low stall converter or a replacement valve body get one from a vendor that builds these for our higher horse power trucks<br><br>Most tranny shops only fix trannys to stock spec's...so if your planning any more upgrades to your truck now is the time to build your tranny to take more power and torque...this will also improve shifting of stock engines
