Truck stalls at high speeds
If I'm driving at high speed responding to an emergency the truck will stall after driving at these speeds after a few miles. Yesterday I stayed at around 80 going to a call and it ran fine but as soon as I approach and let off the accelarator it dies. Let it set for a mintue it will crank and run fine. Only had this problem once at normal driving speeds after about 40 miles of driving all the other times have been at high speeds. Getting the stuff together right now to hook up a gauge and check my fuel pressure. Any ideas?

Last time your Fuel filter and pre-filter was changed? Mine would die if you suddenly let off the throttle while above idle ( I never really ran any high speed/throttle off ). Changing the pre-filter screen and fuel filter totally eliminated that problem.
Its a start, I bet you find it a fuel pressure problem.

I changed the fuel filter and cleaned the pre-filter screen after the first time it happened. I do notice a lot of vacuum in the tank when I remove the fuel cap, could this affect it? I put a new overflow valve on a while back. Hopefully I can get a gauge on it and tell something. There was a thread over on TDR and the guy was having the same problem, I had been watching that thread but he hasn,t posted back in several days. I would've sent him an e-mail but couldn't since I wasn't a member.
