transmission temp light
96 Dodge 2500 Diesel 4x4 with 47re transmission...Does anyone know at what temp the transmission warning light will come on and is it too late than?
If this is effective, why a temp gauge for trans...?

i don't know the answer to the first one, but i know a lot of people get aftermarket gauges because they don't trust the factory stuff. PLUS, a lot of factory gauges work of electronic signals, so after you are modded, they might not match up. non-CTD example- the boost gauge is early eagle talon tsi's is eletronic off the air flow sensor or whatever and basically just goes to where the boost should be. if you are running 8psi or 20psi, that gauge will always read 11.
