I see a few wires in my diagram say they go to the trans relay but I cant find it in any diagrams or find it anywhere. does anybody have an idea where this thing is and what it does. thanks

 

It should be in your main fuse box under the hood, marked "transmission" or the like. I wish I knew exactly why it was there, all I know is that when it's jumped out it let's you lock up the TCC manually by grounding out the B11 wire out of the PCM, so maybe PCM switches ground and then controls the relay for power?

 

I'm doing a conversion and didnt have this relay wired in the harness. This may have been the tidbit I needed. thanks alot!

Thanks for the diagram... but, i think it's for a 96' up with a 47re..? I need one for a 47rh. sorry i should have been more specific, but thanks any way.

 

Yeah, it's for 96 and up 47re. Sorry about that. I didn't think the RH had one. None of my diagrams show one either, but in the 47RE the PCM grounds the trans relay which in turn powers the valve body solenoids and then the PCM controls ground on those solenoids individually to turn on OD and TQ Lockup. All the trans relay does is supply power to the trans control solenoids. On the RH diagrams, it looks like the power for the solenoids is supplied directly from Fuse #9, no relays... Coincidentally, the 47RE trans relay is also powered by Fuse #9... These are the diagrams I have....

 

well thanks any how. I found the signal wire from the vss to the pcm had high resistance, replaced it but ,.. still no tc lock. i'm damning the pcm at this point, waiting on one in the mail. so..... thanks for the help.
