Tranny Hanging

My tranny just started to hang for a split second inbetween 1st and 2nd shift. Not all the time and it seems like only when i use real light throttle. Any ideas? I checked fluid level its good. I have a new billet torque converter and a BD valve body.

The kick down band has come out of adjustment/worn a little. It is recommended maintenance to adjust the bands with every tranny fluid change at 15k intervals. Your average everyday Haynes Manual will tell you everything you need to know on how to adjust the bands. Just to let you know though, a torque wrench that measured in INCH pounds is required...

Oh and if the Haynes Manual doesn't say anything about it the torx head screws that hold the filter on are supposed to be put down to 35in/lbs and that has to be exact as those three screws are part of the what holds the valve body together. It is all machine fit and triple stacked, so any warp to the valve body and your transmission will not shift right...
