Trade my 4:10 DRW for a 3:55 DRW

I'm thinking of swapping my 4:10 rear it has 165,00 miles on it, im getting 14mpg and 9 to 10 pulling 12k......I'm looking for more MPG i hardly never drive on serious grades...Any thoughts?> I would like to put 373 rear gears in but they only come in FORD....anyone done a conversion?or just swapped ring and pinion? Ive herd that its better to just get a entire unit....

I've been pretty happy with my 3.42 gears. With G56 I've had no problems towing some heavy loads, and at 2000 rpm puts me right at 80mph. Prob be easier to find a whole unit that way

09 CTD qcsb, parts fell off, some got added, car seat and hot wife mod w/ full wallet delete

How on earth do you keep up with traffic with 4:10's? I have trouble keeping up with traffic with my 3:55 axle, darn thing starts to de-fuel when above 75MPH

Its hard to do .....I had no clue the 410 gears where this bad ...top speed pinned is 75.....a bunch of shifting...I need my 355 back ...I didn't notice that big of a difference towing 14k...I imagine more would make a difference. But i am on the look out for a new rear any idea where to get one?>had a close eye on CL..
