'96 2500 4x4

Wohooo! More spending money that I really shouldnt! The 5th gear on the mainshaft is loose as a goose and Dan the gear man says I gotta yank that sucker out of there. Also the dumbass who "rebuilt" it forgot to put shims on the counter shaft and didnt put the right amount on the main... luckily no harm has been done but I still have to pay for the lack of intelligence.

Does anyone have any experience with the Torqueking SI series or some of the other after market full spline shafts? The Torqueking SI kit really doesn't seem too unreasonable for what you get but it is certainly a good chunk of change more than the other aftermarket shafts. The TK Gold Series is way out of my league so we can all forget that!

I bought the truck only a few months ago and it has been torn apart longer than I had been driving it. While its been down I have changed almost all fluids, all new ujoints, driveshafts balanced, bought a new dual exhaust system, planning on doing kdp and valve adjust, have this transmission all torn apart... im going nuts. I will have $1500 bucks wrapped up in all this stuff before the engine starts again, I want a new clutch but it just isnt going to work into my budget... I really hope this is all going to be worth it.
