is there a seal ....

is there a seal on the back of the power steering pump ?? i have a very annoying oil leak and thats where it seems to be coming from. the power steering oil level is fine though so im not sure what is going on. any help ? scott

that sounds like the seal leaking on the vacuum pump - motor oil.the vacuum pump is driven first then the shaft goes threw and drives the steering pump,the pumps are bolted together.just do a search on vacuum pump,you should find alot of info...

There are two bolts and a fitting on the back of the pump. Make sure all three are tight. Yes, if loose they will leak.
