TCI Torque Converter?????

OK folks. .I need some advice. I desperately need a torque converter and valve body upgrade in my 97. As luck would have it, I am not swimming in cash at the moment. I was wondering if anybody has any feedback on the TCI torque converters. I have used there products with good sucess in gas applications (classic cars) but this is my first diesel truck. At $515 its a steal from summit for a single disc setup. Ideally I would love to dump several grand into a name brand trans and converter combo but thats not in the cards. What is the general concensus on this?

I bought one of thier converters for my 95 back in 96 or so. Tried installing it ans the snout was not finish machined. It damaged the seal. So I called them and they said I was wrong, but to send it in for inspection.
I did, they sent one back to me that was machined correctly, and I had to pay shipping to them and back to my!!! I called and asked why, was told it wasn't thier fault. WTH???? Then with in 6 months that converter was slipping like the stock on. It wasn't much tightwer either.
My advice is to keep looking!!!
