TC lockup switch problem

I'm back to drink from the well of knowledge again. I installed the TC lock-up switch today, but no difference in trans. performance. I remember some one in another post mentioned that some 96 models need to have the computer re-flashed in order for the switch to work. Anyone know what this involves or if I can tell if mine needs this?

Did you tap the right wire?

I think so to the former and yes to the latter. According to the directions, the orange/black wire is the one to tap. And I put the jumper in the trans. relay hole. I am supposed to leave the relay out, correct?

Re:TC lockup switch problem

On the 97 there are two orange/black wires. The second one is the intake grid heater indicator light. Check the 96 wiring diagram.

Re:TC lockup switch problem

there are at least 3 that i know of on my 98 (within the 3 harnesses at the "box" mounted on the firewall). if i remember right, it's B11. if you do have the right wire, then i'd say that you need the computer flash.

Tom
