tank fuel fittings

I just read a post last week about a adapter that scews into the fuel tank so you can eliminate the dodge factory fuel clips and use rubber line with hose clamps. The adapter was blue anodized aluminum. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Thanks.....

Why do you need all that?

I removed my fuel clips and just pushed the hose over the old nipples. This was at the same time I was replacing my fuel lines in their entirety.

fuel

Sleigher thanks for the input. So how long of hose did you need for when you replace the fuel lines? And what sizes where they?

Sizes and lengths

My truck is a standard cab long-bed. I think I bought about 15 ft of each line. The fuel hose I bought was marine grade which seemed to be much thicker than anything I've ever purchased in any auto supply store.
This link will take you to the site where I bought mine. http://www.go2marine.com/product.do?no=52189F
I am pretty sure it is 5/16 and 3/8 that you need.
I measured by walking it off and adding some for screw ups.
I also purchased wire loom material to cover the lines wherever they were exposed. You will also need some new supports for the lines as the old ones which held the steel lines are too small for the new hose with the loom over it.
You can purchase the loom material and supports at www.mcmaster.com.

Good luck
Peter
