Supporting transmission for engine removal

What are you all using to support your transmission when you pull the engine? the engine will be out for an extended period of time so leaveing a jack under it isnt an option. I know I could just pull it all out, but Id really rather not have to do all that extra work.

Thanks,
Travis

I have seen guys use a simple ratcheting cargo strap before. I use a purpose built support.

Dave,
Did you make the support or was it bought? If you made it could you give me some details on the process?

Thanks,
Travis

I cut a piece of angle iron the width of the frame and use that to support the tranny...just put some long bolts thru the bellhousing and rest them on the angle iron.
