My 1996 diesel has an oil leak around where the breather pipe connects. Oil runs down side of block and drips off bell housing. When towing my travel trailer on a hard climb it leaks so bad oil blows back and drips from all over the trans cross member. Has anyone had a problem like this?

 

You said in the other thread that you routed your blowby into a jug on the frame.
If there are any low spots in your tubing and you're in a cold location water will collect in the low spot and freeze. Depending on the low spot it can either completely or partially block your blowby tube. Blowby is restricted and comes out the easiest place it can find. Usually it will shoot the dipstick out but in severe cases can blow out gaskets and seals on the engine.

 

The blowpipe is straight and wasn't any problem routing into the jug. By the way I also punched a bunch of holes in the jug for good ventilation.
