what are the stock 2nd gen 12v trucks putting out as far as boost goes

mine was around 18 lbs unmodified .
i increased it to app 24 .

 

yeah 20ish peaked unmodified. the hx35 is good for about 30 so i understand

mine got to 19, now it will pull 36, but i only done it twice just to prove it would. i dont want to buy a turbo right now

 

The little hx35 is a tough charger and will take some abuse. 36psi is just about out of the map, but in short bursts will not be detrimental to the charger, imo. I was teaching the Mrs. to do a 3rd gear boosted burnout in the driveway with the new dd clutch. She built 25psi at a standstill, about 3k rpms then stalled the engine That shaft shoulda snapped, but radial play was still in spec when I pulled it for the vgt

Ya, I got the clutch specifically for play time, and it is fun I've broken everything downwind of said clutch, but it is fun. When she grabs traction about 100 yards out at 3500rpms....wheeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!
