Steering upgrade

I was wandering if anyone has gone to a straight tierod instead of the inverted y style? I've been looking at a set up supposedly sold by carquest that has a straight through tierod and the crossover connects to the tierod near the passenger side tire, it connects to the tierod not the knuckle like that kit that requires you to drill all the holes out and use bolts, (don't know the name of it), it also uses stock style ends. Has anyone used this kit, how well does it work and what is the cost? I'm really getting annoyed with the stock setup, it's not the most solid setup in the world, any height movement and the toe in/out changes and i really don't like this, i would like to go to a setup that is low maintenance and doesn't require being realigned whenever i want to change the height (leveling kit)! Any one have any other kits?

Our trucks did come with T style steering for a year or two(I believe '98 and '99 but I might be remembering wrong). I know of several people just asking for the parts for those years when replacing their tierod and draglink. The kit that you refer to may just be the parts from the years of T style.

I believe they are from a 98-99. I did a little reading from where I got the idea and the guy said he just used the 98-99 steering set up and it all fit just fine. still, is there any other options out there aftermarketwise?
