Smile Starter pulled, other repairs now?

I had to pull the start of my '98 12V to have it rebuilt. Is there other maintanence that would be easier done while I have it off?

It's a little easier to service the prefilter with the starter off.

X amount of feet of 5/16" and 3/8" diesel rated hose ( make sure it is diesel rated......) where X is the amount in feet from the engine back to where you want to splice into the lines, some people replace it with hose all the way back to the tank., hose clamps and a wee bit of patience.

I just did the fule lines, wasnt too bad. biggest pain was getting hands into tight areas, and then the factory connection fittings at the tank. If i had to do it over, i would played around with options on the tank fittings more.
