Stalling
Stalling
'96 stock 12 valve with aprox. 80,000 miles stalls randomly and stop signs. Might happen twice a day for a week and then not at all for a couple days. Fuel pressures are right at the lower edge of the acceptable pressures. Replaced fuel feed and return rubber lines a year ago to take care of a hard start in the morning condition. Any ideas to check would be appreciated.

Adjust your idle up to about 850 RPM with the AC on. Adjustment is located at throttle stop at the rear (towards passenger compartment) of the P7100 injection pump towards the engine. 10 mm bolt with lock nut on it. Helps to hold down the throttle while loosening the lock nut on the bottom and making the adjustment on the bolt from the top. 1/8 turn counter clockwise then lock her down and start to check RPM. Due to vibration, this stop will wear over time. Had to adjust mine a couple of times so far in 135K mi. Hard place to see - use a mirror to locate if you are unsure.
