Stack blueprints?

Thinkin about fabbin up some stacks at work this week. Could really use some prints or specs to guide me. Or heck, even pictures of the whole setup on the ground before installation would be great.

Haven't read too much about stacks, and all it entails, but I think I've got a pretty good idea of how to make it.

Only real question is whether I want single or duals, and straight bull or mitered tips...

Leaning more towards box in the bed. Y-pipe seems like a lot more work. Fabbin a box aint no biggy at all. 6" tall by 12" long by the width of the bed sound good, or does it need to be bigger or smaller? Guess all I'd really need to know are the dimensions for the pipe from the downpipe to the bottom of the bed that people use when making their's.

I used a 4x6 piece of square tubing, don't really remember the length. At the time that I did it I just had the stock turbo so I put in a 3 to 4 reducer then did a 4" elbow into the bottom of the box, then 5" out to the stacks. Stock went as follows: stock 3" to almost the end of the cab area, 3 to 4 reducer, 4" flexpipe to 4" 90 degree elbow to bottom of box. Once I replaced my turbo and downpipe all i had to do was replace the small piece of stock with 4". Was pretty simple and worked well for me on a budget.

That sounds like a great idea. Really straightforward. What material are stacks usually made from, 1/4" stainless? Might be a little hard to find that in 5-6" diameter at the shop...

Anyone heard about putting a piece of angle in the box where the pipe meets to direct the smoke evenly to both stacks? A bud was tellin me that and didn't know if he was just blowin smoke up my butt, or if he's really on to something there.

i have also thought about this, what i was going to do is run two 2" pipe inside a 5" or bigger stack. but in that size it would have the pressure to shoot up. guess a litte size envy and distance.

yeah I got a small piece of angle iron and welded it in at the hole in the bottom of the box. Don't know if it makes any difference, but it made me feel better.
