Spitting coolant.

Weird thing happening, whenever I get on the pedal my truck seems to want to spit coolant everywhere. I'll fill it up to full, and it'll just do it again. I've gone through 3 radiator caps, the thermostants been replaced, and I have even eliminated it completely temporarily. Waterpump is new, idler pully, belt. The water comes out the overflow tube, nothing appears to be leaking other than that. Should I goto a higher pressure radiator cap? I'm not sure if that's what's causing it or not. It has a 16lb on there now. Any input would be greatly appriciated. Anyone else had this problem?

thanks.

Head Gasket?? Take the rad cap off when its safe then look for bubbles in the fluid when running. Should be none.

I would also say head gasket.. Not a big leak by the sounds of it, but definitely a tell-tale sign of a head gasket gone..

Would make it come out the overflow tube? Not that it couldn't be the head gasket but it's definately coming from the overflow on the radiator. Just got the motor back together about 8 months ago, has ARP studs and a marine grade head gasket. I sure hope not, I'll check it out further, but I never noticed any coolant leaking near the motor at all.

LOL now I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed.

Well something has got to be making pressure in the water system to push out the reservour.. The only thing that has pressure other than the oil is combustion pressure and I don't think you have seen any oil in the system yet.

Like BBB said test the coolant for combustion gasses.

Never thought of that,,,not something I wanted to hear. Means I gotta take the motor apart again. Suppose I'll O-ring it this time if it comes to that, should've done it last time.
