speedo gear for 265/75/16 tires
speedo gear for 265/75/16 tires
I need to get my speedo corrected for my 265/75/16 tires. The PO had some huge meats on the truck and now the speedo is 8-10 mph off. I have been searching and cant seem to find the gear number that I need.
Thanks,
Tony

Try this web site.
It will calculate what gear you need, you just need to enter the tire size and rear end gear ratio.

It's been quite a long time since I last made one of these but I **think** a 3:54 rear end uses a 31 tooth gear - it's either that one or a 29. I recall it should be green in color. When you change the gear, just remove the bolt that holds the adapter to the T-case and pull straight out without twisting (O-ring can get cut when twisting the part).
