Soot on turbo intake
I removed the air intake hose when changing oil the other day, I noticed that there is some fine soot on the inside rim and compressor blades of my turbo. Is this normal, time for a new BHAF, a bad exhaust side turbo seal (or something else?) Thanks.

Most often this is caused by an exhaust leak in the engine compartment. Look for a cracked exhaust manifold, or leaky manifold gaskets. Sometimes it's as easy as loose manifold bolts.
