Well the day finally came welded my fifth gear in over three years ago and it snapped right where I welded it, the fifth gear kept backing off even with a new up graded nut,after the third time in less then two months I welded it and new that one day she would go.Now what is out there that I can put in there and not worry about something going, any tips,thanks

 

You are sure having a lot of problems with the fifth gear I have fixed a lot of them with the upgraded nut from Dodge and have not had any problems like you have had. The next step is the fully splined shaft from Standard Trans.

 

Well I found a one dulley with rebuilt trans new tires 12 value with new injectors and pump for 2750.,got it in truck now and will see how long it will last.

 

One of the hardest things on the 5th gear--or any gear is the rpm.
If you are running in 5th and the rpm are under 1500, you are at risk.

 

yup, you can feel every cylinder fire and vibrate right threw the drivetrain when below 1500
