Setting timing on pump replacement

Cummins set it up so you don't have to have special tools to install a pump when R & R'ing it. If you are going to replace your pump, set the engine to TDC#1. Pull your old pump. Your new pump will come set to spec for installation at engine TDC. Pull the lock pin to check it. Put the lock pin back. Then, if you want to run extra advance, move your engine opposite the direction of rotation by the amount you want to advance. Complete your installation as normal. VIOLA! you got the job done without special tools! How much do you turn the engine, you ask? If you want a degree wheel paper tab for this, PM me and I'll send you one in a scanned file. Then just make a pointer and move the amount you want.

Malfunction!

I'm not sure how to do it, Monty, but the degree tape will have to print as 8.5" by 11". When I printed one just now it came out about 4" by 4.5" so the distances are all wrong. Is there anything we can do to make it a full sheet of paper?

Hammer, I just printed one and the full drawing fills a full size sheet of paper. Does the whole drawing need to fill a full size sheet or just one tape of the drawing? If so, which one is needed? Thank ya sir.

1 sheet for all

The whole thing is one sheet. So you get any tape you need, and for most 2 copies, from one sheet of paper. I'll go print another, and see what it does now!

Once you have the full size page right click on the page and click on PRINT PICTURE and you will get a full size print.
