Replace Solenoid w/cable
Replace Solenoid w/cable
The solenoid plunger in my shut off solenoid broke. I have tried a couple things to put it back together and am ready to chunk it in the river and cable operate the shut off. I have read through all the threads I can find and do not see what I am looking for.
Does anybody have a solution that works great and is cheap? Pics would be even better.
For now I have the lever tied up and stall the truck in 5th gear to shut it down.
Thanks in advance.
Waylan

Any lockable or tensioned pull cable should work. YOu would just need to fab a bracket to hold the end of the cable on the pump either using the same tabs as the solenoid or making your own.
