removing injection pump?

I'm a newbie to the mechanical world, first time I've ever torn down an engine was the last few days and I'm stumped as to how to remove the IP. I've got everything else off the **** block but it. Is there a special puller needed?

take the nut off the pump shaft, take the gear off with a gear puller, then there will be a couple studs with nuts on the back of the timing case holding it on.

There should also be a bolt under it connected to the same bracket that the vacuum pump/power steering pump assy has an L shaped bracket attached to. I see that you don't have that assy removed yet. Can't get to the aforementioned bolt until you do.

little things...take the dipstick out of the tube before you remove the IP, don't break the handle off while wrestling with the IP. Also be careful of the oil pressure sender, it is right under the the IP, and is easily broken during the aforementioned IP-wrestling. Needless to say, I had to replace both items after I swapped the IP

Almost looks like the dowel pin has been removed or already fallen out? From the picture it just looks like a black hole....
