Push Rod Removal

Whats the best way to remove a pushrod to check to make sure they arent bent? Pull the rocker arm, or the pedestal. And i take that no matter how i do it, the valves will need to be adjusted?

Thanks,
Dave

There are two plastic plugs in the underside of the cowel you will need to remove, than the small bolt and the head bolt on the tower and you can pull them out. Yes a valve lash will be in order.

If you just remove the rocker arm assembly, and not touch the adjuster nut and put the assembly back on the cylinder you removed it from no need for valve adjustment. Just make sure when you place the push rod back in the hole that its seated in the lifter, you can tell by spinning it in your fingers if its seated. Thanks Steve B.
