Does anyone know if they make different pulleys and if they actually add power?

 

?? fan pulley...alternator pulley....idler pulley....damper pulley??

 

Pulleys are a gasser thing that don't translate over to the diesel world because of the RPM range we are working with.

 

There are pulleys for the PSD's so I didnt know if they had pulleys for the 12v or 24v.

 

Any horsepower increase due to less parasitic loss isn't that great. The biggest benny for the gassers is that the underdrive pulley's reduce the rpm's that the accessories are spinning which in theory should improve their lifespan (most notably the power steering pump) - like during 6500 rpm shifts. I don't think our CTD's spin fast enough to worry about it.

If you must, I think it would be a good idea to see if you can find a set that ensures the alt spins fast enough to keep the batteries charged.

 

Yea Ill prolly just get the one for the alt. cause I might have 3 batteries for sound system. ;D

 

What the hell you putting in man? 5 10's and 4 12's? Get an electric fan. Heard those help alot.
