I'm new here bear with me! I have a 95 2500 ctd, had problems with dying when hot just like a gas engine vapor locks. Well had the injector pump rebuilt by Scheid Diesel of Lafayette In, they did fix my problem after $2000. They told me my pump had been turned up 20% and that I needed a torque plate for towing instead of a fuel plate. They put in the new torque plate which they claim better towing and mileage! Wrong !! Towing my 9000 lbs loaded trailer is a real struggle now seems like I lost half my power and mileage went from 14.5 to 11 miles per gal.Any input here!! Thanks: Ebert Williams

For sheid to have that kind of word? I dont think so. Seems to me that timing may have slipped or is needed to be readjusted to get your power back, what about the overflow valve? has that been taken care of? You also need to tell us more about your truck, put it in the sig, it will make it much easier for us to help you out with issues or problems that might arise, Welcome to DTR...

Thanks for the input Tx Diesel007; Scheid gave me a 2year warranty I probably need to get in touch with them, I just wanted to get some ideas from others that might have been through the same thing. Kind of be more educated , so to speak. They updated the air fuel solenoid and the overflow valve, adjusted the valves and of course timed it when the pump was rebuilt. The truck is a 95 3/4 ton ext cab 2wd bone stock except K&N air filter, 188,000 miles well taken care of !!
