Plate Number

Can anyone tell me what plate number this would be? The guy said it was an 8 but dont look like my 8 i have here,,, the one on the right is a stock plate. Also when i install that new plate, do i adjust the govenor arm up so it touches the tip of the bottom nose,, or do i have it touch near the bottom of the plate? Thanks

I don't think it's a TST plate, perhaps Banks or ebay homemade.
A little similar to a TST #6 below except with a smoother profile rather than steps (easier to make)

The gov arm should be adjusted to the pointed tip or slightly below it. A plate like this with a tip above the bottom of the plate is where the gov arm adjustment becomes most critical.

Ok thanks,,,,, from what i know he bought the plate from a place in canada, its not homemade as its a 1 piece plate. So this plate will most likely take his Auto out soon if he pushes it to hard then? lol like that would ever happen

That plate looks like the one that was in my 180 pump when I got the truck and I was told by the PO that BD in Abbotsford tuned up the pump. I would guess its a BD #8

When I saw the pic I thought it looked like your Banks plate Rick!

I have also heard the the Banks plate is pretty much an 11...
