P7100 IP Max HP

OK guys I need to know how much fuel I can get this pump to flow? Do not worry about the turbo situation that is taken care of and so will the transmission be. So far here are the mods I have in mind

-100plate full forward
-Moddded AFC/ Spring (With pushed all the way back right? or forward?)
-Delivery Valves 191
-Mack Rack Plug (allows for more travel of... I do not fully understand its function)
-turning the star wheel some too

I think that is it

I also need to know how much the stock injectors are going to be able to flow (put out hp/tq)

Any information is wanted

Thanks guys

Adam

I dont know of any one who has maxed out the stock pump .. theres so much you can do to it, you'll actually end up having to get new injectors (DDPs seem to be a favorite)... the star wheel just adjusts fuel in relation to boost so dont click it too far then the motor will bog and smoke b4 it finally takes off.. from what ive read the mack rack plug allows for more travel of the afc which means for fuel but the problem is you have to spend the time taking the pump off inorder to do it. but make sure you have a nice exhaust and a big enough turbo to handle the fuel.

So would you say I can make 400-500 hp with the stock injectors or no?

Thanks for the reply

The advantage to getting most of your fuel from a reworked pump like a dragonfly or something, seems to be that you can use a valet switch on it and switch the fuel back to stock levels for inspection or daily driving.
more pump pressure should mean better fuel atomization Id imagine.
the DDPs are pretty nice from what Ive seen. The only thing I dont like is they do haze a little at idle. any performance injector would probably do that.

I don't have any problem with idle haze. The 370's a friend of mine had were horrible for that. I only have the DDP 3's, but they run like a stocker with no haze and smooth idle.

Why bother with stock injectors if you are going to work the pump. Sorta like putting a garden hose on the fire truck... Big pump, little nozzle.

Ok I understnad I just wondered what the most hp I can get out of the stock injectors.

How much does it cost to get a pump reworked and what all is involved when they do it? I am sure they do most of the stuff we can do ourselfs just that they can tune it better.

Thanks Adam

I dont think it is possible to max out a P7100 on a 5.9.....at least not likely. Plunger size can be increased and all sorts of stuff. I dare say there are probably some pulling rigs around 2000HP....but I could be a little high.

you are wayyy ahead of yourself. instead of spending $1-2k on pump work, spend $275 on laser cut delivery valves and get some 435 injectors... still need more fuel? between the turbos and tranny work, 1-2k will be chump change.

Totally right.. Big injectors and the delivery valves would be more fuel than most can handle without changing out the barrels etc. I haven't done the delivery valves yet and only have 90 hp injectors. The turbo is my problem at this point, and the head gasket..
