P pump

One quick question. Will the p pump from a 5.9 fit an 8.3 engine?
Thanks for any info.

yes it will but the performance will probably be different. a 6bt doesnt have the fuel needs of the 6ct.

There is an interesting question though : will the internals from an 8.3 pump fit in a 5.9 pump, and give more fuel or a different type of delivery?

a p pump is a p pump and a ISC or 6ct wud have more of a 215 pump factory as opposed to most 6bt's having a 160 or 180. as we all know the p pump is very powerful and the most sought after pump for our engines it wudnt have any trouble melting an 8.3 to the ground if your foot was heavy enuf

False. A lot of equipment uses P3000 pumps. Also, many industrial/commercial apps use 11mm plungers instead of 12mm plungers in the dodge applications. Cam's will also be different. Just because it is on a bigger engine doesn't mean its a bigger pump.
