Overflow valve
i dont think thats an item that is meant to be tweaked around with...get the proper one for our pump and leave it be....the spring inside the valve likes to wear over time thats all...some guys like to strecth the spring...better to just replace it...u can get them for a fair price for something like 35$ ....do a search...Infidel always posts the link to the guy with the deal on these
Overflow valves that will fit and work on our 12 valves come in a variety of pressure settings from 10 to 50 psi. Ours is actually a 25 psi valve. No big deal as long as you buy one intended for a Cummins, you will have no need to even specify the psi.
Before someone starts thinking about it, more pressure doesn't mean better. The factory specs provide the best performance.
I would highly recommend not stretching the spring unless you have a fuel pressure gauge. It is very likely you over pressurize the system causing a whole new set of problems.
