OTC timing kit

New CTD owner, am going to do the KDP next week, and Im going to just adjust everything and make sure its right. I wondered has anyone used (or bought) the kit from OTC for timing? My brother has the Barring tool, (both him and my grandfather are retired diesel mechanics) and it looks like the OTC kit should take care of me.

What do you guys think?

Thanks

Do you have a link , there are timing kits , then there are timing kits , havenot looked at OTCs , I am familier with the so called Snap On [ made by Miller tool / SPX ] .
Then there are different levels of timing [ kits ] a basic , spesific , assuming you have all the bent wrenches [ pump ] ect. , then the kit that comes with everything to do timing , some of the everything kit , just make it easyer .

Maybe thats why cost tooo much , when there's so many middle men , and they all want to at least double there money ,
I've been in the buis [ using the tools , not selling ] for about 30 yrs. and before I got ripped off , had about $160,000 in tools , down to about $60,000 , most of the everyday tools , so now I'm a wantabe tech.
Then costumers wander why it cost so much to get there stuff fixed , and anybody that know anything want to do there own work .
The rant is over .
Hay John , can you put up a really big wind break so that cold weather stays up your way ???

I'm hoping all the cold blows down to your end of the state. Last time it got cold my supposed winter fuel gelled and it took me a couple days to thaw it out.

My timing was set not by plunger, but injection timing. Been thinking about going in with a timing set to compare the 2 settings. Also thinking about dropping the advance a degree or two.

The OTC number is 7470. I'm on the road for work and will call Snyder on Monday to see what they want for it, and what all it has in it. I have alot of the tools from my Grandfather and Brother.
