Oil Leak

I'm getting alot of oil blowing from somewhere aroun the injection pump. Its all over it, the intake tube, power steering resevoir. It's not coming from the power steering so I fear the worse, KDP cracked case? Would a crack in the case leak up here like this?

I have an oil leak around there too. Mine is the tappet cover. So check on that one. I've been avoiding that fix.

the other thing i wud suggest(which I need to do myself) is to either find a hotsy(hot water pressure washer) or take it to a carwash and clean the engine really well. run it and see if you can find the source of the leak. my valve covers leak like Exxon Valdez.

Check to make sure all four of the studs and nuts that hold the injection pump the the timing case. If one of the bottom studs falls out, you can get a good leak from there. Been there, done that.

CJ, I also have a small leak in that vicinity, apparently only when oil pressure is present. Looking from the top, I see a hose assembly with a bent tube fitting to the IP. Is this the oil feed line of which you speak? The top fitting is dry, but I cannot see the lower terminus, at the block. Can you describe its location?
My power steering pump is the most oil-wet item down there, but the reservoir fluid level doesn't drop, and I have snugged up the hose connections, which were wet and they remain wet.
Is there an oil return line from the IP to the engine sump?
I have done the pressure wash/inspect thing, but still cannot identify the source of my leak.

my leak is the ip itself the hose and fitting are not leaking its the bushing like part thats in the pump itself. as far as where that hose comes from i believe its the side of the block, taps into the oil galley. but dont quote me on that...ive been wrong before. do you have an inspection mirror that you can get under the pump with and take a look that way. a different view might give you the info your lookin for. i think the return for the pump dumps into the front cover....i think...anyone knows for sure correct me if im wrong

Oil feed is from a tee on the side of the block. The other end feeds the vac. pump. Oil return for both pumps is into the timing case.
