What is the oil capacity of a 95 CTD. I changed mine and it took 11 qts to fill to top on dipstick, including filling filter. I have read 12 qts. Also owned other year models of CTD's and they all took 12 qts.

You saw my last post. I dump all 12 qts in. I believe the Cummins guideline is 11 qts though.

 

According to the Dodge manual, the capacity for a 96 is 10.0 qts.

 

On the 94 and 95 the dip sticks were wrong, and also the manuals were wrong and were supposed to have a addendum added to the manual. They are supposed to read 11qts, but I too just dump 3 of the gallon jugs in and go. On the 94 I used to own I put in the 11 and remarked the dipstick. Goodluck,,Rick

after all in 3K miles i lose one quart.. so im fine for up to 6K miles by then i would have already changed the oil...
