OD slipping
OD slipping
The boss has his truck at BG&S, he says you would be going along and OD would just kick out. The motor would just free-wheel. They went in and say the transmission is fine.
They put it on a toggle and it worked fine, hooked it back the way it should be, it worked fine til they took it for another test drive before calling him to let him know it's done.
Any ideas what could cause it? They are pretty sure it is electrical, or in the valve body.

94 and later truck, right?
Sound like the typical dropping out of lockup. (not slipping OD, simply letting go of lockup in the converter).
Easy fix is getting a filter capacitor from DTT. If the truck has a ton of miles it may need a tps sensor too, but usually just the filter capacitor cures most of them.

I thought he meant dropping out of lock-up, but he said it will act like you just threw it into neutral. Won't do a thing, til it slows down and drops into drive, I guess, or til it straightens out and goes back into OD.
