Hi fellas I am about to pick up another 2nd Gen manual truck and it already has transmission issues. Of course I’ve looked at TONS of videos of the rebuilds but I was wanting to see what’s out there as far as manuals from say Torque King or other rebuild kit manufacturers. I know there is probably info on the Service Manual and I will look through that too.



For you guys that have rebuilt your own NV4500 were there any specific tools besides the two pairs of ring pliers you needed?



If anyone has copy of a manual or specific directions from a manufacturer of a rebuild kit I would like to see it via photo or pdf.

A factory service manual from a 2nd gen 12V year ['94-'97 would be best] would be a good present to get yourself now that you own a couple trucks.

I have seen them for sale at Geno's Garage.

That thread also mentions that there is an NV4500 section in the FSM, which you can get from the other forum that we are both on.

A google search for "nv4500 overhaul manual" turns up that same source linked above, and more...

 

Thanks for the information. I was looking for this PDF too. Speaking of PDFs, yesterday I found an interesting tool in a helpful review https://timesofmalta.com/article/pdf...rms-a2.1098065 of the online editor PDF Guru. I have to say, I really liked the set of features it offers. With this tool, it’s very convenient to make edits in PDF manuals when needed.
