No Boost; when idleing(about100rpm too low) can hear a distinct irregular ticking sound; coming maybe from injector pump. Brought it to DODGE. Thy're trying to figure it out. (RIGHT !) . They told me if a new diaphram was needed for the waste gate actuator, DODGE only sells the COMPLETE waste gate/Turbo assembly. They said I could probably get just the actuator aftermarket.
lost boost before, but repairing air press line from manifold to divider "TEE" fixed it. This time it's not the problem. Any suggestions ; ie actuation pressure, etc, will be appreciated. DODGE charging me $100 per hour to ponder over what the problem is.

 

You can get the actuator aftermarket - I did. IIRC it was about $130.

 

Dig through the TSBs and there is one talking about the wastegate. Even gives you the Mopar part numbers for the different dodge applications.

 

Really helps to know what year truck you're concerned with - could be a VP44 problem - but clamp off the line at the wastegate, take it fer a spin - be prepared to hold onto yer suspenders, cause it won't back out till you do - shouldn't hurt unless you tow, then would be best to have a Boost gage and EGT guage
