No Reverse!!!
No Reverse!!!
Have a 98 dodge 3500 equipped with the 12 valve engine and an auto transmission.
It just got back from thrashing around in the muskeg and judging from the 500-700
pounds of mud I pulled off the driveline, she's been worked pretty hard. The tranny is
functioning properly in all forward "gears" (both in town and on the highway) but
there is little evidence of reverse. I went underneath and dug all the mud off the
linkages and didn't see anything obviously bent or hanging; checked the fluid level
(good and red/no burnt smell). Is there anything (mechanical, electrical or other)
that could be the source of the problem or should I just face it and start pricing out
a replacement??? Any comments/suggestions etc would be greatly appreciated.
