Got stuck in mud after loading livestock trailer hooked to my 95 2500 Ram with 5.9 Cummins and 47RH auto. After several back and forth wheel spins was pulled out by niehbor with farm tractor. Drove one mile on road. Every thing seemed to be fine until I put truck in reverse. Did not move. Now starter works in park or neutral, Drive, second, third etc. works. Neutral it moves forward. Reverse no movement. Any help would be greatly appreciated; Bob

 

Get a 300 lb gauge and put it in the rear servo. What pressure is it in reverse? You should see 200+. If not then possibly the servo tilted and will need work. then drop the pan to check the rear band to see if it is intact. The strut may have dropped into the pan, or it simply needs adjustment.

 

I was thinking linkage problem other than it starts in every gear that makes me think something inside the trans. check it out and see if you can see any visible bending on the shift linkage.
