New Pyro and boost numbers

I just got my gauges in and went for a ride. Pyro reading was at 950 climbing a long hill WOT locked in OD and boost at 16-17 PSI max. Truck seems to run about 650-700 running 65-70 MPH on flat ground. Does this sound about right for a stock 95? I think it's time to move that fuel plate

Thats just about what mine was doing and I thought something was wrong with it. I got all the stuff in my sig. and the temps went to 1200 and 25psi of boost at full boogie. I still think something is wrong. Maybe the pump needs recalibrating for more fuel? or maybe the injectors and delivery valves are restrictive? Dunno. Could be the torque convertor also. Feels like its not getting all the power down.
I hear these guys saying how with a couple mods the turbo is almost out of its map at 30something psi, and they show 1400F easy and I wonder whats up with the 95's. Maybe they were just set up with a really low amount of fuel or just dont produce the same gains unless you do one other step?
I havent slipped the transmission yet but I can tell its going to be taking a beating.
I can tell you the two best mods were the plate and the GS3K.

Isn't 1400 degrees in the melt down range? I thought you didn't want to see more than 1200 degrees.

Yep 1400 is bad for a sustained period but you can hit it for a second or two. It will take a little bit of time to heat soak the pistons enough to melt them. I think I read that the new ISB engines are good to 1400* but I sure wouldnt want to try it for a long period of time. Our trucks have the smaller pumps in them. After I put in the 10 plate my fourth acceleration test from standing still to 70-75 MPH only netted m3 950*. Probably could have hit 90 MPH before she hit 1000*. Turbo boost was around 25 also.

Those numbers sound about right for a stock truck.

Watch out, it is a slippery slope once you start 'bombing'.
