need a rebuild TIME FOR THE ULTIMATE ENGINE!!!

ok i bought a complete 94 5.9 and it is blowing oil bad which is fine for me as i wanted a cheap complete p-pumed engine to build up for my twin turbo project i will be towing with this engine all most all of the time so it will need to be built to do that now i would like to "over build" this engine for my truck so i dont have to worrie about it later it will be going into my 1993/81/06 custom 6x6 crew cab i am building i am using the mercedes g56 6 speed trans a 205 t-case and a gear vendors for the rest of the drive train

so where is a good place to get a decent priced engine kit (maybe oversized)
where is a good place to get the head fire ringed or o ringed
where is a good palce to get a set of head studs

anything else i should do ??

as said i want to "OVER BUILD" this engine and do it right the first time i have around a 4k budget to build the engine 2k for the custom twin turbo set up

For 4k your on a tight budget, headwork alone for the o-rings will be at least 750... over 1200 for fire rings, and you'll need to pull the block. Marine Gasket, Studs, Cam, Injectors, DV's, Plate, Intake, Air Horn, Manifold, Pistons (if you think you need them), KDP, 215 Pump, Timing, Exhaust...etc. etc. Your looking at a mild build with that budget, nothing wrong with that for towing, but its certainly not the "Ultimate" engine...your getting well into 5 figures for that.

to do everything for the "ultimate" engine, you better have 20K to burn for everything you need.

Or be able to shop very thrifty. If you can do all the work yourself, ie machining, assembly and so on, you might be able to stretch that dollar amount, but if you need a place to do the work for you, kiss that money good bye.

I say if you're gonna have the head worked on, why not get it ported and polished right away too. The extra flow is going to help all around.

You should be able to get o-rings on the head for less than $400.
Check out http://www.performancedieselwarehouse.com/ they can get you setup wiyh a new head and orings with 60# springs for under $1200.
Also the stock bottom end is good for alot of HP and TQ. There are alot of guys running well over 700 hp on the stock bottom end.
A camshaft is around $750.
Injectors, anywhere from $500-$1000
ARP studs are anywhere from $400-$450
Laser cut DVs are around $220
Marine gasket around $140-$160

Everything else is minor stuff.

If the internals of the engine look good, do the head and studs. With the twins you could easily be in the 600-700 hp range.
