Need a pcm for a '96 Auto 4x4

I am trying to find a pcm for a '96 4x4 Auto. I have replaced everything else that has to do with the tranny and its shifting problems so the pcm is next.

Let me know what you have and a price.

thanks,
Mike

I havn't checked that yet, I will check it tomorrow.

My truck is also only charging at 12.9 volts. It has a new alternator and new batteries. So I am thinking I have a problem with the pcm anyway.

Have you checked the engine speed sensor, sometimes called the crank sensor?

PCMs rarely fail, everyone I know who has replaced one now has two good ones.
Mechanics who only know how to diagnose problems with a code reader often blame the PCM on our 12 valves because the reader doesn't tell them anything so they blame the computer.

I removed the engine speed sensor and cleaned it. I am running out of options.

Check out "autocomputerexchange.com". Ask for "Gee" if they don't sound like they know what they're talking about. They rebuild PCM's, and I had them rebuild mine when I swapped from auto to manual transmission. Also disabled my EGR information like it was never there. For $250, hard to beat. I don't know how much it would be if you're PCM does indeed have problems, but they sounded reasonable to me. They might be able to give you some more "technical" troubleshooting info too. Maybe bad ground for PCM? Good luck.

I checked the TPS today. It checked out at a perfect 1.2v at idle to 4.4v full throttle.

I am lost.

How did it read as you slowly swept the range? was it bouncy and jittery? It may read perfect at both ends but the contacts can be worn in the middle where you normally operate it. I took my old one apart and you could clearly see the worn contacts in the middle but both ends of the range looked new.

It was smooth all the way up to full throttle. I am thinking of taking it to a tranny shop on Monday.
