mud truck with stack how much flex pipe

Guys i have a mud truck that i have a stack on, my question is how much flex pipe will i need to keep the pipe from breaking off the truck?

My stack kit came with a pipe that was about 15" long of so. Don't need much, just enough to allow a bit of movement between bed and engine.

I wouldn't see why that wouldn't work, don't need feet and feet of it.
