Movement at the TPS shaft
Is there supposed to be a side to side movement where the cables hook onto the spring? I'm concerned that there is a lot of movement and I'm wondering if this will affect the TPS readings to the ECM and possibly cause the transmission to not up shift from a stop sometimes.

Here's an update. Both bushings were intact and in surprisingly good shape. What I did find however was the shaft had room on the back side of the plate underneath the clip. I had a very thin brass washer the right size and added that to the washer already back there and it's tight as new. As a side benefit, I found a return spring that was broken and repaired it.
