265/70 might LOOK silly, but I know what my mileage is with them and HATE to lose any.

Besides, with my Tommy Lift and Toolboxes the rear of my truck isn't stuck way up in the air like a lot of trucks.

265/70 HTs for me.

DANG! Thought I was gonna score some more Michelins with a fair amount of tread left for cheap. 265/70-17... YEAH! 25something at 35 psi... NO!

Checked Bizrate.com for tire prices. 130 for 265/70-17 Toyo ATs 181 for 285/75-17 Toyo ATs.

Gonna go there and check Michelin prices. Saw 170 before but now I bet that was for the darn 35psi ones.

Hmmmmmm.... just checking out a tire size comparison site..

235/80-17 is just over 5MM taller than 265/70-17.

But how goofy would they look? Very skinny?

When i bought my truck , it had 215/70/16's on it , and let me tell you , it looked some kinda foolish ( but it would roast those little weenie tires for a joke) I am running 305/70/16's on stock rims right now , and even with the suspension flexed , there is lots of room left, i am going to 315/75/17's on some alloys in the spring , and i don't think i will have any rub issues

If you've read any or many of my comments you'd know why I'm asking about 235/80. Less rolling and aero resistence would HAVE to apply. And they are just a bit (a little over 5MM) taller than 265/70 (which is what I will get if not 235/80).

Could someone comment strictly on this?
